Service Terms
These terms govern access to Museum Portraits and any portrait, print, digital file, or account service offered through the site.
Last updated: April 15, 2026
Using the service
By using Museum Portraits, you agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms.
Museum Portraits may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the product, including styles, formats, checkout options, and fulfillment availability, at any time.
Eligibility and accounts
You may browse the site without an account. Checkout is guest-first, and you may also choose to create an account or connect a guest order to an account later.
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
Photos, prompts, and customer content
You keep ownership of the images and other materials you submit, but you grant Museum Portraits the rights needed to host, process, adapt, generate, display, reproduce, and fulfill the resulting portrait product.
You promise that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload the material you submit and that your uploads do not violate any person’s rights, any law, or these terms.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or harmful material.
- Do not upload content that violates privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property rights.
- Do not try to interfere with the product, bypass safeguards, scrape the service, or probe the system for vulnerabilities.
Portrait results
Museum Portraits offers a creative, technology-assisted service. Portraits are stylized outputs based on the source material you provide, and results may vary depending on image quality, composition, subject visibility, and selected options.
You are responsible for reviewing previews and selections before you approve a portrait or complete a purchase.
Pricing and payment
Prices, product availability, currencies, and shipping charges may change. Taxes, duties, and local import costs may also vary by destination and are your responsibility unless the checkout experience states otherwise.
Payments are processed through third-party providers. An order is not final until payment is accepted and Museum Portraits has created the corresponding order record.
Custom orders and fulfillment
Print products are made to order. Once a custom order has entered production, Museum Portraits may be unable to cancel or materially change it.
Print fulfillment, carrier handling, and delivery timing depend on third-party production and logistics partners. Estimated timing is not guaranteed.
Digital files and order access
Eligible digital files are delivered through Museum Portraits account and order-access flows. Access may depend on the email address used during checkout, account status, or the continued availability of the relevant asset.
Museum Portraits may send secure order-access or account-claim links by email so customers can reopen their order history across devices.
Intellectual property
The Museum Portraits website, branding, layout, copy, catalog content, workflows, and software are owned by Museum Portraits or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited rights needed to use the service and receive your purchased output, these terms do not grant you any license to Museum Portraits intellectual property.
Suspension and termination
Museum Portraits may refuse service, suspend access, cancel accounts, or block orders if it believes a user has violated these terms, created legal risk, abused the platform, or threatened the security or reliability of the service.
Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided on an as-available basis. Museum Portraits does not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or that every generated or fulfilled result will match a customer’s subjective expectations.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Museum Portraits will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Any direct liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
Updates to these terms
Museum Portraits may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hey@museumportraits.com.
